Let’s Collaborate

Academic Collaboration

I actively collaborate with scholars across the marketing discipline, including Marketing Strategy, Consumer Behavior, and Quantitative Marketing. My research is substantively grounded in questions of privacy and strategic firm communication, and I am particularly interested in projects that bridge theoretical perspectives across subfields.

My background in computer science and engineering complements my marketing training and enables me to work comfortably with unstructured data, especially large-scale text data, as well as high-dimensional secondary datasets. I regularly leverage text analysis, machine learning, and AI-based methods to study firm behavior, disclosure, and communication at scale.

In addition, I have been building a large repository of secondary data sources, including regulatory events, firm communications, brand perception measures, and market outcomes. These data resources are well-suited for collaborative projects that require novel measurement, large samples, or cross-domain integration.

I am especially interested in collaborations that combine strong theory with compelling data and modern methods, and I enjoy working with coauthors who bring complementary perspectives, whether conceptual, qualitative, experimental, or empirical.

Industry Collaboration

In addition to academic research, I engage selectively in industry collaborations that are aligned with my research and teaching interests. These engagements focus on translating data-driven insights into strategic decision making and supporting organizational learning, while remaining complementary to my primary focus on academic scholarship.

I have collaborated with several organizations that vary in scope and context, but are unified by a shared interest in using data to inform strategic decision making. A recurring theme of this work is capability development, particularly around data literacy and AI awareness. As data- and AI-enabled tools become increasingly embedded in managerial workflows, I work with organizations to think carefully about appropriate use, limitations, and the continuing role of human judgment and accountability.

These collaborations inform my research questions and classroom instruction, helping ensure that my academic work remains connected to managerial realities without substituting for scholarly contribution.
